WELCOME TO THE FFGHA COMPETITIVE LEAGUE

At Frontenac Fury, we believe hockey is about more than the game. It is about the people we serve, the community we represent, and the opportunities we create for the girls who will come after us.

For many years, girls from Frontenac County who wished to play competitive hockey had to leave their home community to pursue that dream. Today, they have the opportunity to wear Frontenac across their chest while playing in front of their families, friends, classmates, teachers, neighbours, and the community they proudly call home.

Our competitive program was created to complement our house league—not replace it. Together, our House and Competitive programs provide a complete pathway for girls of all ages and abilities to learn, develop, compete, and continue their hockey journey while remaining part of the Frontenac Fury family.

The impact of that opportunity is already being felt. Girls from our own community have returned home after years of playing elsewhere because they finally have the opportunity to represent Frontenac. New families are choosing Frontenac because of the culture, values, and sense of community we are building together. Volunteers continue to dedicate countless hours behind the scenes, creating opportunities that simply would not exist without their commitment and generosity.

We believe the true measure of success is not found in championships alone. It is found in the opportunities we create, the confidence we build, the friendships we foster, the leaders we develop, and the legacy we leave behind.

Every generation inherits something from those who came before.

Our responsibility is to build upon that foundation and leave something better for the next generation.

That belief guides every decision we make.

It is why we invest in player development.

It is why we value teamwork, sportsmanship, and community.

It is why we believe every girl should have the opportunity to represent the place she calls home.

Most importantly, it reminds us that one day today’s players will become tomorrow’s coaches, volunteers, parents, and leaders. They will inherit the opportunities we create today, just as we inherited those created by the generations before us.
